At DriveGuard Warranty LLC, we want you to be confident in your coverage. If you are not completely satisfied with your Home Service Contract, you may cancel and may be eligible for a refund according to the terms below. Your contract’s cancellation provisions control where they differ from this summary.
30-day money-back guarantee
You may cancel your Home Service Contract for any reason within thirty (30) days of the purchase date for a full refund of the amount paid, provided no service requests have been paid. If a service request has been paid within the first 30 days, your refund is calculated on a pro-rata basis, less the cost of any service paid and any cancellation fee permitted in your state and stated in your contract.
Cancellations after 30 days
If you cancel after the first 30 days, you are entitled to a pro-rated refund of the unused portion of the contract price, less:
- A cancellation fee, where permitted by your state and stated in your contract.
- The total cost of any service requests paid under the contract.
Monthly plans
If you pay monthly, you may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future monthly charges; coverage ends at the end of the period already paid, subject to your contract and state law.
How to request a cancellation
Submit a written cancellation request that includes your contract number, the property address, your contact information and your signature. Send it to:
DriveGuard Warranty LLC, Attn: Cancellations, 7702 Nalley Ct, Hyattsville, MD 20785 — or email info@driveguardhomewarranty.com. Customers may also start a cancellation request from My DriveGuard.
Processing time
Refunds are generally processed within 30 to 45 days after we receive all required cancellation information and are returned to the original payment method or payer. If your plan was paid at a real estate closing, the refund is issued to the party that paid for it unless your contract states otherwise.
State-specific variations
State laws vary, and some states require different cancellation procedures, refund calculations or fee limits. The provisions that apply in your state are set out in your Home Service Contract and supersede this general policy where required by law.
