Service Request Process

Last updated November 4, 2026

Requesting service with DriveGuard Warranty LLC is straightforward. Follow the steps below so your request is reviewed and a technician is dispatched without delay. Before you begin: do not arrange your own repair. Service must be requested through DriveGuard first — repairs started without authorization may not be covered or reimbursed.

1. Confirm coverage

Make sure your contract is active, any waiting period has passed, and the item that stopped working is listed as covered on your plan.

  • Sign in to My DriveGuard to view your contract and covered items
  • Check that the failure is not listed as an exclusion
  • Note the service fee shown on your contract

2. Submit a service request

Request service online 24/7 in My DriveGuard, or call us at any time.

  • Service line (24/7): (888) 890-8506
  • Email: claims@driveguardhomewarranty.com
  • Provide your contract number, property address, the item, a description of the problem and when it started
  • Photos of the item and any error codes help us move faster

3. Review and dispatch

We review your request against your contract and dispatch a licensed, insured technician from our network. The technician typically contacts you within 24–48 hours to schedule a visit; situations affecting health or safety are prioritized.

4. Diagnosis and decision

The technician diagnoses the failure and reports to DriveGuard. We then make a coverage decision, which you can follow in My DriveGuard.

  • Approved: the covered repair or replacement is authorized
  • Additional information required: we will tell you exactly what we need
  • Denied: you receive a written explanation, including how to ask for a review

5. Repair or replacement

Once authorized, the technician completes the covered work. You pay only your service fee. If a covered item cannot be repaired, it is replaced with one of similar features and capacity, up to your plan’s limits, or we may offer cash in lieu of replacement.

6. After the visit

If the same covered issue returns within 90 days of the repair, contact us — follow-up visits for the same issue are not charged an additional service fee. Keep your service records in My DriveGuard for future reference.
